Hazards lurk below the surface

I just got a bike and its fat tires have a reputation for finding everything sharp lurking in the gravel driveway. Taking a large Hang Em Up, some duct tape and a pole, I devised a Rube Goldberg metal detector to pick up the screws, nails, washers, staples and other sharp objects that have been there for years, just waiting to pop a tire. It even picked up rocks that are high in iron content. (I wonder if it will work for gold?) Everything wiped off easily and the Hang Em Up was on to the next task. — Rick Seifert
